Random Encounter!

Apparently roleplaying games will take over your life. I mean, most everyone who reads this has heard me babbling about the Changeling game I'm in at least a little, but this one wasn't intentional.

Especially since I don't think Changeling normally has random encounters.

Anyway, I was at the bookstore (actually at the bank, which is inside the bookstore for reasons I suspect benefit the store) when I ran into one of the other players - whom I'll call "Fox" here, because her character more or less is. Well, I say ran into - apparently she saw me come in, but I didn't hear her calling.

So what did she do? She snuck up behind me and addressed my character in her character's voice. Given that Fox's voice has a definite dangerous undercurrent to it, you can imagine my reaction to hearing it purring "Hello Dark-eyes" in my ear. Namely that it scared the crap out of me - I think I may have stepped on her foot, but if I did she didn't say anything about it.

We had a pleasant conversation while I waited for one of the tellers at the bank to be free (in which I informed her I couldn't be at game because I was spending Easter at home), but it was just the start that was weird. And about gave me a heart attack.

It's always fun to meet the players in person. Although in my case they were all planned, no random encounters. XD Back during the Econtra days, Kane-mun, Meilin-mun and I had coffee together... and we ended up just talking about the modplot. XD;

PS. *giggles while reading all those comments* I think your mom is cool. :D

Oh, I see her fairly regularly (this is the real-life game I'm in, remember), but not usually outside of the game.

@ PS: I'm sure she's happy to hear that. Yes, that's my mom and my little sister down there.

*wavewave* Hi, cool mom and little sister! ♥

:P I was about to hijack your conversation with your mom, but then it hit me and I was like, "WHOOPS this isn't an RP thread~" XD

Oh, and have a fun Easter! I probably won't be able to thread much over the weekend; it's not final, but we might be going to my grandma's. Just a heads-up.

*waves back* Thank you, darlin'. :D

Nope, it's an RL thread. And IRL, this tired old mom is headed for the sack, so I can make the 400-mile round trip tomorrow to fetch the boy home for the holiday.

BTW boyo, I'm not buying you another chocolate rabbit. You got yours last week. You'll just have to suffer while you watch your sibs drool over theirs. *insert evil laugh here*

[identity profile] matthias-wave.livejournal.com 2010-04-02 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
Or I can bring mine home, unless it's likely to melt on the way. *was saving it for Easter anyhow*

Hmm... do we still have that cooler thingy that came with the last van?

[identity profile] pastelmelody.livejournal.com 2010-04-02 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
BUNNY ;~;

[identity profile] gritsinmisery.livejournal.com 2010-04-02 01:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know if you'll see this, but yes, I'll bring the cooler.

Don't worry, he won't. Dan? Up by noon? Unlikely.

[identity profile] matthias-wave.livejournal.com 2010-04-02 04:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Only unlikely when he doesn't have class :P

I'm up by nine, most days. Due to having a noon class four out of five weekdays.

Rest well and keep rocking, cool mom. ♥~ Your boy's going to be up for a couple more hours, though. :P

... That's a good idea. I should ask my mom for a chocolate rabbit, too.

*also waves back, then scowls* Not that little!
Yes, I just did the spoiled little sister thing. Oh well.

This little sister is not as attached to the computer by the fingertips as her brother and mother, so she's often late on the uptake.

[identity profile] matthias-wave.livejournal.com 2010-04-02 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, also that exchange took place well after you went to bed :P

[identity profile] pastelmelody.livejournal.com 2010-04-02 04:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, I stand corrected. Not that little. ;) So how would you like me to call you? :D

[identity profile] yushi-radishes.livejournal.com 2010-04-02 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm... *ponders*
How about younger sister? Everyone wants to be young forever, so...

[identity profile] pastelmelody.livejournal.com 2010-04-02 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Younger sister, then. :D

I suppose everyone does, but I still like being called big sister. I've probably just gotten so used to it, haha.
