Quick Joke
Sep. 30th, 2008 06:50 pmCame up with a joke just now.
See, there's this thing called a trivet. It's a little thing you put hot pots and things on so they don't leave scorch marks on the tablecloth.
Of course, I had to come up with my own definition:
triv·et /ˈtrɪvɪt/ noun: 1. A man-eating alien hedge.
For anyone who doesn't get it, it's a portmanteau of privet, which tends to be grown as a hedge, and triffid, a man-eating alien plant.
... Yes, I know my puns are bad. That's the point, they're puns.
