Yet Another Weird Story Idea
Nov. 22nd, 2008 09:07 pmOkay, this is one of those ensemble-cast magic-warrior-whatsis stories, yes?
Got four people, called "Agents" - they're recruited by a mysterious organization to fight another mysterious organization (read: the actual plot is still a work in progress). Each one is given elemental powers and codenamed after one of the Greek titans that more or less corresponds to those powers - Cronos for air, Rhea for earth, Helios for fire, and Tethys for water. Two guys and two girls. Pretty standard so far, right?
Here's the weird part. Each character fills a role in the team that more or less corresponds to their personality. But the people giving them their powers screwed up a little.
First, the genders are swapped - Agent Cronos and Agent Helios are female, Agent Rhea and Agent Tethys are male.
Second, while the roles fit their personalities, the elements are sort of twisted - they fit if you squint, but not very well.
Agent Cronos is the smart one and the healer - if the personalities actually corresponded to the elements, she would've been water.
Agent Rhea is the hot-blooded leader and basically the artillery and ranged attacker. He should've been fire.
Agent Helios is the nurturing type - the team mom, basically - and the heavy muscle. She ought to have fit into earth.
Agent Tethys, as you've probably guessed, should've been air - the flighty, whimsical speedster.
... Yes, this would be a humor piece, why do you ask?
